Amalia Sullivan

“Amalia rhymes with Mamma Mia”
Pronouns: she/her/hers

I am a neurodivergent (AuDHD) Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Massage Therapist (License # 26103) in the state of Oregon. I love learning and have sought out a lot of continuing education related to somatic therapies. I completed a yoga teacher training, learned how to do EMDR, studied Hakomi, and traveled to the world conference for contextual behavioral therapies. I’ve worked as a counselor in the hospital, the emergency department, a primary care clinic, and in hospice. I’ve worked as a massage therapist in a physical therapy clinic.

I have been really lucky to to have several truly amazing counselors and bodyworkers in my life (thank you from the bottom of my heart to Pamela Birrell, Debra Sunderland, and Robert Bike) who taught me how to be gentler with myself and let feelings flow through me and shift.

I volunteer as a massage therapist for a local hospice. I host fundraisers a few times a year for non-profits close to my heart, like The Trevor Project. I also do my best to take time to rest and engage in lighthearted hobbies like video games, role-playing fantasy games, exploring the outdoors, and crafting.

I enthusiastically and viscerally believe both in the healing power of counseling and the healing power of massage therapy. I love this work and it would be a great honor to hear from you.
